• Workforce data you or your organization enter into the product (for example employee profiles, attendance, leave, and payroll-related records);
• Basic technical and log information (such as device or browser type, IP address, and usage events needed to run and secure the product);
• Messages you send us for support or sales.

Location Data

When you use Truzy's attendance features, we collect your device's precise location — including in the background, while the app is not actively in use — to verify that clock-in/clock-out actions happen within your employer's designated work location (geofencing). Background location is only collected while an attendance session is active, and is used solely for attendance verification by your employer.

Camera and Photos

We access your device camera to capture a photo at clock-in and clock-out, for attendance verification. This photo is stored and made accessible to your employer's HR/admin team as part of your attendance record.

How We Use Information

We use this information to provide and improve the Services, support your organization, keep accounts secure, respond to requests, and meet legal obligations when required. We do not sell your personal information.

We use location and photo data specifically to verify attendance — confirming clock-in/out occurred at an approved work location and matches the employee on record.

Sharing

We may share data with service providers that help us host, run, or support the product (for example hosting, email, or SMS infrastructure), only as needed for those purposes.

We may also share information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Truzy Tech, our users, or others.

Your Organization’s Data

When an employer uses Truzy Tech, they control the employee and company records they store in the system. Organizations should only add data they are entitled to process and are responsible for how they use employee information within their workplace.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No online service is completely secure—please use strong passwords and protect access to admin accounts.

Your Choices

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, where practical and legally allowed. Employees of a customer should usually start with their employer for records that employer controls in the product.

You can also opt out of non-essential marketing emails we may send.

Data Retention

Attendance photos and location logs are retained for the duration of your employment with the organization plus its applicable record-keeping period, or as required by law, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
